What exactly is lymphatic drainage?

Your body has a network, or lymphatic system, containing hundreds of lymph nodes. Did you know that your lymphatic system is a part of your immune system? These lymph nodes carry bodily waste and white blood cells and help to purge your body of toxins. When your lymph nodes are disturbed or blocked, this lymph fluid can start to build up, leading to lymphedema and other health problems.

What is lymphatic drainage massage?

Lymphatic drainage massage is a very gentle massage designed to encourage drainage of the lymph nodes in the body. Lymphatic drainage massage techniques help to gently encourage the circulation of lymph fluid, helping it to naturally drain from the body.

What does lymphatic drainage massage feel like?

You’ll feel relaxed and comfortable as our trained massage therapist gently applies light pressure and movements to your target areas on the forehead, around the eyes, on the body and so forth. The technique is delicate and precise, as our massage therapist brushes your skin, gently taps and lightly presses in targeted directions to gently encourage the lymph nodes to drain.

Are there any beauty benefits to lymphatic massage?

Yes! Many of our patients enjoy a healthy-looking glow following their lymphatic massage. Lymphatic massage helps boost blood flow and supports healthy skin cell function so you can feel radiant from the inside out.

Can I receive lymphatic drainage with other types of massage or aesthetic treatments?

Yes! We can add lymphatic drainage to any of our other massage therapies. Lymphatic drainage is a simple and efficient wellness tool that also complements a wide range of our aesthetic treatments, including clinical facials.

Is lymphatic drainage massage right for me?

During your personal consultation, we will closely evaluate you to determine if lymphatic drainage is a suitable option. Your first step is calling us at 325.670.5320 to schedule a consultation. You can also complete our consultation request form today and we’ll get right back to you!
