Laser Hair Removal
Laser Hair Removal
Laser hair removal is a non-invasive treatment that can safely remove unwanted hair without damaging the skin. Laser hair removal offers longer-lasting results than other hair removal methods such as shaving, tweezing or waxing.
Laser hair removal is suited for all skin types. This system uses a laser light that passes through the skin to the hair follicle where the energy is absorbed and transformed into heat, disabling the follicle while leaving the surrounding skin unaffected. Laser hair removal is typically recommended in packages of five, scheduled several weeks apart, in order to disable all of the active hair follicles and provide lasting hair reduction.
Commonly treated areas with laser hair removal:
Upper lip and chin
Underarms
Bikini
Legs
Back and shoulders
Laser hair removal can help to remove body hair in a safe, effective and lasting way.

Laser hair removal can disable hair that is in the active growth cycle on the day of treatment. Dormant follicles are not active and, therefore, cannot be treated. Circumstances such as pregnancy, menopause, certain medications and hormonal conditions can trigger a dormant follicle to begin to grow. Most active hair follicles must be treated more than once. If new hair growth occurs in a treated area, it is often much lighter in color and considerably finer in texture because of the procedure. If this should happen, a touch-up treatment would be required.

Tanned skin can be unsafe to treat. Please inform us if you have been tanning or exposed to the sun within the last three weeks.

Yes, we use advanced lasers that are safe for all skin types. An individual consultation is necessary to determine your specific possibilities.

A treatment normally takes between 15 and 45 minutes, although time varies depending upon the area being treated.
-
Typically, the hair that was treated will begin to work its way out of the follicle and will start to fall out between 10 to 14 days after the treatment. All new clients will start with a series of at least 5 treatments in order to see optimal results.

Side effects may include slight, temporary redness. Pigmentary changes of the skin, blisters and hotspots are rare, but occasionally occur.
