Ear Surgery
The size and shape of your ears can have a big impact on your self-esteem. Overly large, protruding or disfigured ears can be improved with ear surgery or otoplasty. Otoplasty involves the surgical reshaping of the pinna, or outer ear, including the ear lobe, and does not affect your hearing. It can help bring balance and proportion to the ears and face, restoring self-confidence.
Ear surgery can correct:
Torn ear lobe
Overly large ears
Ears that stick out
Correction of previous ear surgery

During ear surgery, the cartilage is remodeled to change the look and position of the ears. There are three types of ear surgery: ear augmentation to reshape the pinna if it is too small; otopexy to flatten protruding ears; and an ear reduction to reduce the pinna when it is too big. Board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. Kevin Bridge is an expert in all types of ear surgery.

Following your ear surgery, you may experience some pain, but this can be eased with pain medication.
