Breast Lift
Over time, breasts can sag for a number of reasons, the most common being gravity and a decrease in skin elasticity as we age. Pregnancy and nursing, as well as significant fluctuations in weight, can also contribute to sagging. For patients who desire a more youthful appearance, a breast lift may help them reach that goal. A breast lift can accomplish this by:
Reestablishing a firm, rounder breast shape
Realigning breasts for balance
Decreasing the size of areolas
A breast lift can also be combined with a breast augmentation procedure, but the latter may not be necessary. Board-certified Dr. Kevin Bridge can help patients determine whether a breast lift will help them achieve their body-image aspirations.

A breast lift is an outpatient procedure. You will be able to return home following surgery and a recovery period.
-
A breast lift is done by tightening the breast tissue, which is accomplished by removing excess skin and re-draping the remaining skin. There may be other procedural steps, depending on each patient’s situation and goals, but these are the basic steps of a breast lift.

You can expect to resume your day-to-day activities within a week of your procedure; however, you should avoid aerobic or strenuous activity for at least 6 weeks. Dr. Bridge will be able to provide a more exact recovery plan based on your unique situation.
